They all do it though. Thats why I and mostly everyone here, does not like our defense; in extension Ruff. It's been his 'system' as far back as Dallas.

They didn't have the personnel last year and largely still don't. Smith can but has no confidence. Staal is too slow to recover if he whiffs a standup. ADA correctly worried about getting run over.

Only Trouba and maybe Hajek have the combination of mobility and strength to do it. Maybe Smith if he gets his head out of his ass.

The impact of having one of Panarin or Kakko on the ice for half the game cannot be overstated. They both just run the o zone when they’re out there.
