I don't think Manning will make the dance.

So no way around this guy's cap hit? Looked absolutely brutal out there.

If I knew nothing about this team and watched them for the first time (after having arrived from Mars) and you asked me "who are the best D-men the Oilers have" I would objectively say Bouchard and Samorukov without much hesitation.

Bouchard is a beast... I don't even want to talk about him anymore because it's so obvious he's got extreme skills and is head and shoulders an exceptional player (best in his draft)... only question is if they want to give him some pro seasoning in the AHL... which I think they probably should... regardless that he's one of the best 6 D on this team.

I will say Manning reacted to Canucks anywhere near our goalie the way all our team should react.
He set a good precedent there and the players followed suit.
