Holy ****, hockey is on.

and the only team without a goal so far at today's preseason games are

YOUR 2013/14 NEW YORK RANGERS!

Well, considering its a pre-season game and camp has been about a week: I'm not expecting much.

Some great individual play from guys like Moore, and Richards. Some guys not so much like Falk.

Also, it seems that AV has not implemented any unique system as of yet. The boys are playing pretty much Torts hockey albeit very sloppily. The only real noticeable difference are that pointmen seem to be getting more involved in offense.

Still, I don't see any different tactics as of yet. The Rangers are still differing too much down low. I would say the most damning thing is that they have collectively been very soft on the puck. Too many guys staring or being passive to tracking down the puck.

Also, most importantly, the breakouts look exactly the same. Almost no movement from the middle and guys are too stagnant too far up the ice.

At the end of the day, I'm just being hyper critical. I think AV is simply looking at what he has before trying to overhaul the system.

I blame Kreider for that goal. He messed up on the boards when he could've cleared the puck, and then he tried stick checking a little too early, watching the puck go in.

Moore and Staal have looked the best. I like Moore's skating, and Staal's shooting.
