Well, considering its a pre-season game and camp has been about a week: I'm not expecting much.
Some great individual play from guys like Moore, and Richards. Some guys not so much like Falk.
Also, it seems that AV has not implemented any unique system as of yet. The boys are playing pretty much Torts hockey albeit very sloppily. The only real noticeable difference are that pointmen seem to be getting more involved in offense.
Still, I don't see any different tactics as of yet. The Rangers are still differing too much down low. I would say the most damning thing is that they have collectively been very soft on the puck. Too many guys staring or being passive to tracking down the puck.
Also, most importantly, the breakouts look exactly the same. Almost no movement from the middle and guys are too stagnant too far up the ice.
At the end of the day, I'm just being hyper critical. I think AV is simply looking at what he has before trying to overhaul the system.
