If Kakko can actually shoot the puck as his one-timer that hit the post suggests, he might be a pretty good asset on the PP. His shot wasn't that good last season, especially compared to all the other aspects in his game.

If Joe suggests he's going to be captain in the preseason, it's almost a done deal. IIRC he did the same with McD the preseason before he was given the C.

Only Trouba I'm not totally sold on, he was OK but not amazing for Jets on the PP. I think Fox might be seen there if he improves as expected / hoped. Perhaps not the next season, though.

Then again, it's possible that Trouba didn't play at his best due to the not-wanting-to-play-for-Jets thing, and also because Maurice's the worst coach in NHL.

Hopefully ADA gets signed soon, he should be the top unit PPQB. Although it could be beneficial to have him run the 2nd PP unit with Fox and just have Trouba as the trigger man up top.

Idk. Sam seems sharp enough tonight. I wouldn't be surprised by his retirement announcement soon, though.

Dude most kids look a little hesitant and like they’re trying to keep up most of the time.

Kakko isn’t like that at all. Kid is super poised and looks like he’s been in the league for a few years.
