don’t forget Nilsson

Also couldn’t we bring Frondell to MKE if we draft him ?
Yes, Frondell could be brought straight to the AHL if we draft him. I think the rule only applies to CHL players that you have to play them in the NHL unless they're 20 years old or have played 4 full season in the CHL. But I seem to recall there being a different rule for European players NOT drafted in the 1st round but later.

Djurgardens was in 1st in the Allsvenskan, I don't know what you have to do to get promoted in Sweden, but if they could get back up to the top league, I could see it being worthwhile for him to stay another year in Sweden? Either way, really. We will have enough bodies in Milwaukee, he might actually get better icetime for his development in Sweden? :dunno:

They do have to win their league and then win the qualification round against the team that was last in SHL. It happens in Sweden, I'm not sure how often, though.

But yeah, if they get promoted to SHL, I say let him play there for a year. If they get stuck in Allsvenskan, I'm leaning towards AHL for him.

Brynas got relegated a couple years ago, got promoted last year, and are now the top club in SHL. Djurgardens is loaded with young talent, and while I don’t know enough about SHL to predict how they stack up, would be great to see them get back in it.

You are wrong here. Djurgården gets promoted if they win Hockeyallsvenskan’s playoff, they don’t have to play an SHL team.

It's definitely a fun system. I was looking at the Allsvenskan standings, and it sure seemed like quite a few teams there have been in the top league in the past, a lot of movement of traditional elite teams down has happened in recent years? Imagine if the price Chicago and San Jose had to pay for tanking was going down to the AHL next year! Now THAT would be a huge disincentive towards tanking!
