Aye, but with how bad we've been I have to look at the best case scenario or I'll go crazy knowing we still have Brunette on board.
For now. Who knows what’s going to happen during the off season. All of those players mentioned fit what Brunette’s wanting to do better than some of the players currently on the roster. Not saying that what Brunette wants to do should be considered good hockey but at least those players would be more successful in that type of run and gun stretch it out offense.

Well there is Misa, Frondell as consolation after we miss Hagens. Still not a terrible scenerio. Maybe grab Mrtka, Fiddler, and/or Boumedienne with our later 1sts. Grab a goalie and a LW in the 2nd and go best available from there.

I think Schaefer is the BPA after Hagens, would suck to finally suck enough to get a top pick and get a defenseman again, but that is our bread and butter and our current defense sucks so bad.

I really would be pissed if we got a dman. I know our current d sucks but unless we take a swing at getting a 1C through trade then we have to draft one when given the opportunity. Make a trade to move back if possible and get a C

Of the top projected forwards in next year's draft, Hagens, Misa, Martone, is this considered a weak, average, or strong year at the top of the draft? Any chance these guys could play in the NHL immediately?

And if we can grab Cozens and Hagens that's a very solid center and defense core.
Look at Cozens and his regression and his bloated contract. You also have Svechkov and Surin in the pipeline. Not sure he's worth giving up the pieces for considering we have some talent coming in soon. Svechkov was improving until he got press boxed by the coach so he could continue to play McC and Smith.
