I've been sitting on my vote here because I'm torn in a bunch of directions and sort of wanted to think about it and see what other arguments were made.

Guess I'm going with Chesley, though I really have no argument against the other vote getters.

I have an overwhelming urge to vote Iorio, just for his proximity and confidence in floor.

8th in prospect rankings behind the 2nd and 3rd rounder from the same draft class. Take it for what it is
I view it more as Protas/Hutson exceeding expectations than Parascak failing. If you were grading them, Hutson and Protas would be A+ picks while Parascak is probably a B.

Also, a recent first round pick being 7th in prospect ranking is a testament to how much better the Capitals have been at drafting and developing players recently. If this were last year, Parascak would slot in 4th rather than 7th (behind Miro/Cristall/Leonard and ahead of Iorio, Stevenson, and Chesley).
Sticking with Mateiko. Can't ignore his performance at World Juniors.
Mateiko was fantastic at the WJC, but I don't love his middling QMJHL numbers. Heavy goal totals, but Mateiko was under point-per-game with Saint John. He has been better since the trade to Rimouski but 11 points in 9 games isn't that great. Grading on a curve relative to draft position, you could argue Mateiko is ahead of Parascak, but I don't see it without curving.

I voted Parascak here. Next two for me are Chesley and Iorio (honestly a coinflip). Next group after that for me is some order of Mateiko, Sikora, and Allen.
