Caps' top 10 prospects
  1. Ryan Leonard, #8 2023, RW, Boston College
  2. Cole Hutson, #43 2024, D, Boston University
  3. Andrew Cristall, #40 2023, RW, Spokane
  4. Ivan Miroshnichenko, #20 2022, Hershey/Washington
Parascak for me.

Should we consider bumping the birth year back to 1985? Feels like that Ovechkin kid could really become something once he fully develops.

Also LaPierre for me.

Also about to get very difficult for me. Half a dozen guys I can see arguments for.

Protas is so much better it’s not even close. Lapierre is almost out of runway. Protas is a first round pick in a redraft.

Lapierre at 3, 4, and now 5. Gonna come back to this in a couple of years. He is same growth path as McMichael and Protas.

Lappy hurt. He is skating. I am unsure of injury. This I am sure of… this guy is a fighter and he is skilled. He will be higher than 5 when we look back.

Or possibly lower. Protas, Parascak, and possibly even Mateiko could pass him.

They could. All good. I like all of them. But i believe Lappy will ultimately be a difference maker for us. He gets taken off the puck too easily. Loses the puck. But he can carry it well and we need that but he needs to get strong (body and stick) to be effective in the NHL. That may take another year or two. But let’s see down the road.

I hope so

Went with the old man Ethen Frank...
He's crushed it in the A, and he's currently showing that he can bust open a sluggish Caps offense in the bigs.
Actual results over possible potential in this round for me.

Future Hendrix for me. On the cusp of being a real NHL player. Looked dominant against the Rangers in the playoffs and very much deserved his AHL playoff MVP.
