To Edmonton: Marchand (50% retained), Frederic (50% retained), Peeke (25% retained), 2025 3rd

To Boston: Savoie, 2026 1st, 2025 2nd (Blues original pick), conditional 2026 3rd if Marchand signs

Edmonton gains much needed winger depth with a scoring punch, a little grit, and defensive depth, essentially making them more of a threat or deeper everywhere but goalie, with enough retained to fit under the cap. Bruins make out with picks now and later, and the best would be prospect in their pipeline.

Another iteration:

To Edmonton: Frederic(50% retained), Peeke(50% retained), Brazzeau(25% retained), 2025 3rd

To Boston: Arvidsson, Savoie, 2025 2nd (Blues)

Edmonton gets a cap dump with Arvy, and beefs up offensive and defensive depth while leaving room for a bigger splash at the TDL.

Pass from Edmonton. I don't mind the players involved, but they don't hit our biggest team needs, and its spending too many of our good assets to fill those holes. We'd be looking for a better blueliner than offered here, and depth pieces shouldn't cost us our best prospect and top pick.

My biggest issue with the deal, is that the OP suggests it will leave room for a "bigger splash" at the TDL, but it takes away arguably our best trade chip, that should be going to fill a much more prominent position, if he is traded at all.
