Honestly? Wah wah wah wah wah.Why do we have a trash company as our sponsor. I hate the idea of this shit. We need to get away from this.9 years no playoffs. Why do we have them as a sponsor? It's just a bad look man.
A trash company sponsors a trash-performing team—and believe me, the symbolism isn’t lost on anyone.
Yeah, this isn’t even new anymore—and that’s the problem. We’ve been watching this team spiral for years, and they’re still out here rocking a garbage company logo like it’s something to be proud of. It’s embarrassing. At this point, it feels like they’ve just accepted mediocrity. I don’t care if it’s local—get Priority Waste off the jersey. It sends the wrong message, and honestly, it’s just sad. We need a petition or something. Enough’s enough.
The Winsg aren't bad because of a sponsorship patch with a trash company. And not a soul on the planet but people looking to complain about the status quo gives a shit that they have a sponsorship patch of a trash company. I mean, do you care who Edmonton has on their jersey?
I get thinking that ads shouldn't be on jerseys and that it is Pandora's box opened... but they got their foot in the door to get more money, so they're pushing through.
The Wings spiraled for years because they had a GM asleep at the wheel when he had two of the better players in recent NHL history, but didn't push all his chips in to try to win a title in their last couple years and instead tried to just retool. And then they hired Yzerman who clearly knows that his seat is a crisp 45 degrees every single day, no matter what happens. Wings are in a demonstrably better place in 24-25 than they were in 18-19 even if they haven't made a playoff series in that time.
I will say that the Mrazek trade should be used as an inflection point. That signals to me that Yzerman has no concern for losing his job no matter what happens. He dealt for a 4.5M backup goalie because he didn't want to have to goalie shop in June.
