Its way too early to tell, It will be interesting to see how Price does in the AHL next year. When both goalies are in the same league it will be easier to compare them, but right now, one plays junior hockey and the other plays professional.
Woah Woah Woah...
I really like both goalies but saying "its not even close" is pushing it. Pogge was great last year. Carey is good this year, but not as good as Pogge was last year.
Both goalies had awesome tournaments.
This year Pogge is one level ahead in AHL but not having a great season. Yeah, the team is pathetic altogether.
Pogge or Price both have done nothing to suggest one is better than other. Both are still very bright prospects. IMO, they're both equal.
Looking past stats and international preformance (Which, IMO, isn't even close - Pogge was just along for the ride, Price was the MVP), Price is just the better talent. His ability to dominate down low, strong lateral mobility, Turco-esque puckhandling ability, and agressive nature (He reminds me a lot of Olaf Kolzig in that way, he's always agressive on the shooter and is a flawless challenger) make him a head-and-shoulders better prospect then Pogge is.
I mean, just look how Pogge has done without a dominating defence in front of him? Facing more then twenty shots a game in the AHL, you're starting to see the real Justin Pogge - how do you think he'll ever survive in an NHL club with the likes of Bryan McCabe on it's blue-line?
Being a long term WHL fan, having seen both numerous times, Price is far, far more talented.

How can you say that when Pogge was the most outstanding Goalie in the WHL last yr, had far superior numbers to Price and was just plain better.
