Funnily enough I think Jamie Hector, actor that plays Marlo, is an Islanders fan. I have seen him at the game more than once.

It seems like Lou is expecting some team to fold and offer something insane like a 1st and a prospect on the level of Cristall/Hutson/Leonard which would be highway robbery if he somehow pulled that off for Brock Nelson. Only way I see something that insane is a signed Brock Nelson plus some other quality asset added with him.

Palmieri does nothing for us…How about Nelson and Pulock/Dobson for Ehlers and something.
Don’t want to move Ehlers, but if we had to it is something I’d be ok with. We get a 2C and an RHD…filling our hol….issues

Nelson and Pulock/Dobson for Ehlers and something - sure, but the "something" would have to be a pretty big something. ;)

Seriously though, I'm not sure at this moment in time I agree that Ehlers has much more value than Nelson, if any. TDL. Wing vs C. 6'0" 175 vs 6'4" 210. Ehlers coming off a so-so playoffs. Ehlers is younger, but Nelson is the healthier player throughout his career and his skillset shouldn't diminish as quickly as he ages.
 
Probably be a bidding war on nelson and Chevy usually stays clear if those so I can't imagine him overpaying for nelson

Nelson is probably more valuable to a contender, but I imagine a contender would rather have both. I don’t understand why WPG would both buy and move on from Ehlers right now

The Ehlers thing is just messing around - it would require WPG being in a better position to contend this year and therefore would require Nelson plus another good NHL player. More likely the Isles are looking for a younger NHLer.
