why do we keep having to play home preseason games in cities that i have literally never heard of?

us playing in halifax is a greater honor than they deserve

If you've never heard of Halifax (you're probably lying, you live in Calgary so it's extremely doubtful you could go thru your life without knowing what/where it is; plus, don't you work at the airport?), then how would you know they don't deserve such an honor?

Oh and RA Dickey is a decent pitcher.

Ryan Murphy had a pretty solid game on a pairing with Hanifin. Fleury got burned badly by Tavares on the first goal, but after that he had a solid game. I was watching him closely, but to a casual observer, you probably wouldn't have noticed him, which is a good thing.

This has been what I've seen from Fleury in the times I've seen him as well. Steady, smooth, but not flashy or standing out (and as you said, in a good way). As time goes on, I think he'll start taking more chances, being more aggressive and have confidence in his skill. Right now, he seems to be keeping it simple and trying to be effective with that in mind.

What I've seen of the guy, I think he's going to be very good. I realize his offense took a hit this past season in juniors and a lot of other fan bases want to write him off, but the things that made him a #7 pick (his ability, skating, edgework, smarts, size, etc...) are still present and IMO, only need to be further developed and honed.

He still reminds me a bit of Pitkanen with the very little I've seen of him

The part of him that reminds me of Pitkanen a little is that he is very effortless in his skating so seems like he's not even trying, when in reality, he's just a smooth skater.

What I've seen of him reminds me of Bouwmeester, at least on the defensive side. There will be games where you don't even know Bouwmeester is on the ice, yet at the end of the game, he's played 25 minutes, wasn't scored against and had an assist. But because of his effortless skating, good positional play and lack of being overly physical, you don't notice him much.
