I don't see how he's the victim. There's no one on D that would make it over him. He has a far better shot of being the 6th D over Smith than he does of getting sent down.

Bahl-Marino would be a very nice pair. Marino being so good in transition also covers for Bahl's puckmoving weakness

It means nothing in preseason. It's clear their best players are not going 100%. Not that I think they are a great team or anything, but I just don't think you can read much into any preseason game when it comes to "full" lineups. Inevitably the sky will be falling when we play our close to full lineup and lose. And we shouldn't care. But we will.

Yeah, I'm thinking Bahl is the guy for the 3LHD.

Bahl is going to be dragged down tonight by Smith, because Smith is bad, but I think Bahl has the 6th spot wrapped up. He’s played well with Marino which is the important thing. Okhotiuk is going back to Utica.

Smith is 7th defenseman. It’s not like Bahl would play every game even if he makes the team.

I know anything can happen here but defense seems pretty obvious (if everyone is healthy) while there’s just too many moving pieces, with the cap crump thrown in, to guess what happens with forwards.
