Jeff Skinner might feel like he has a new lease on life getting to play with Draisaitl after all the years in Buffalo.

1006 games played in the NHL without ever appearing in a playoff game. I'd say so.

-

Both teams going close to full power - but it's still preseason. I wouldn't be shocked if this was a snoozer, nor would I be shocked if its a slobberknocker.

With that record, one may understand that Skinner won't play hockey unless he's paid to.

Teams play different amount of pre-season games? I never realized.

3-4 to our 2-2 going into tonight.

I know the grease's roster got weaker in the summer, but they look so bad on paper.

that bottom 6 is AHL quality bad. they better hope Skinner and Arvidsson click for them or else it's double shifting the dynamic divers for 82 games.:laugh::laugh:

Are they that much weaker ?..looks almost like the same roster as last season..All of their impact players are back..They lost a few middle of the lineup players, but also picked up Arvidsson and Skinner..Bit of a wash, if you ask me

On the one hand - he's a generational talent who gave every ounce of everything he had and came so close to the ultimate prize to come up short, while dragging a team that simply wouldn't even be close without him into it. And it's very raw insight into a very human moment for a guy who usually shows the personality of a piece of white toast.

On the other hand - it's the Oilers, and it's pretty delicious.
