Beautiful winner by Lavoie. Sense of timing too. Game tied and he scores winner on a beauty inside move walking puck through several Kraken. Bottle that one.

Ryan, Pod, Lavoie and Philp all looked great tonight. Hopefully we keep all of them for opening night.
Stetcher was pretty good I thought. Moved the puck up the ice quickly and had a couple of hits.
Savoie has the talent but might get lost if he doesn't get to play with other talented players.
Sam O'Reilly is going to be a good player for us. Really smart player with good instincts and defensively responsible.
Gleason was our worst defenceman tonight IMO. Dermott didn't make as many mistakes but wasn't good enough to earn a spot.
Perry was invisible. Hoffman is done. Neither guy has earned a spot/contract.
Rodrigue is nowhere near NHL ready.

Agree. Had they signed Perry to the league min, they could fit 14F and 7D.

Keeping Perry and losing Lavoie on waivers would be complete incompetence by management, Hoffman is making a case for himself as well to make the team
Both Lavoie and Philp deserve to be on this team.
I think the team will keep up Lavoie and run

For a bit and then bring up Philp later.
100% just because of waivers and cap.
Philp should get that job but I think that’s the most reasonable thing for them to do. Waiving Lavoie would be dumb at this point.

Hoffman had two EV assists. Very visible I thought. Agreed with the rest of your evaluations except Savoie has shown he can play with different guys. He doesn't need top guys. He can be that guy and hopefully can do that in bottomsix for now.

In what world is Hoffman making a case for himself making the team? He's not getting a top 6 role, he isn't a play driver, he isn't physical, he's bad defensively, and he looks slow.

Pod-Philp-Lavoie has the interesting makings of a 4th line. Really liking the play of these 3 as well as Savoie and O'Reilly. The latter 2 just need more time.

He is making plays on offense something Perry can no longer do I am sure you're basing your whole evaluation on a whiffed shot on PP
