Yes, I agree. The talent didn’t disappear, he’s just lost in his head. Laviolette or Muse or Peca has to fix his brain.

I've been impressed with his battle level actually. He's playing feisty. Which I think works for him.

I’m coming to the opinion that Lafreniere will have to be traded before he breaks out.

At this point, I'm not sure he's going to break out. I don't see a chip on this kid's shoulder. He just seems to be happy that the cool kids invited him to the party.

I agree he is overthinking and that pass was egregious. But him slowing the game down is not a bad thing at all on the powerplay and I like him in that spot much more than Gallant's experiment of having him in front of the goalie all the time. I have become quite trustworthy already of Lav because he seemingly has an actual plan with everyone and Laf and Kakko are absolutely going to have better, more valuable chances because of that.
