Not sure what it is about the Islanders - the arena, the ice, the lighting, the uniforms, the last several years of average teams - they just seem low rent. Like a bargain franchise. Boring. Of all the Metro teams, the least intriguing to watch are the Blue Jackets followed closely by the Islanders. They might be interchangeable.

Oh, for God's sake, Fence, stop trying to shoot the puck. I would rather you pass the goddamn thing back to Kolosov; at least we'd keep possession.

Risto had another good game, he's healthy and is now getting more aggressive on offense.

Andrae flashed hot and cold, some good sequences, a bad turnover that he skated hard to erase his mistake.

Farabee - Poehling - Cates was easily the best line. Farabee looks faster this season, Cates is shooting harder.

Lycksell didn't help his cause in this game.

Don't think Fedotov looked bad, none of the goals were bad goals, but didn't make the big play either. Flyers do have to do a better job moving guys out of the blue paint, the big Russian parked his ass there most of the game for the Isles.

Fedotov is quick with a good glove, but Palmieri got him to commit too quickly on the game winning goal.

Give the team credit they were badly out talented, but after a tentative and penalty plagued first period, got better as the game went along.
