The game might be at noon. I am seeing conflicting info. Going to change the title to noon for now
Yeah. Pens website says 7:30pm and nhl.com says noon.
I think it's noon, considering it's a free game for kids. I know historically they tend to do that event for matinee games.
No Zohorna? Do you expect him out of the lineup for game 1?
I suspect they're seeing if DOC can beat him out for that spot. They were impressed with him last game. Perhaps giving Z a break too, since he just returned from illness.

Don't worry just give it a couple of days and everyone will be telling us he sucks, anyway and we were all dumb for thinking he could hold down a mighty 4th line spot.
I want him to succeed but he hasn't really done much in camp.

Yesterday was a game he should have shined in and he was largely invisible.

That's the case with a lot of the Pens most intriguing prospects. It's not like Poulin, Zohorna and Legare are breaking the door down to get NHL playing time in camp.

And all of them are getting substantial minutes. Poulin and Zohorna were the first line last night.

Wings should be icing mostly prospects tomorrow…and their new goalie from Carolina…all of their regulars played tonight…

Tomorrows lineup without ZAR/Zoho pretty much opens the door for...

Guentzel, Carter, Rust
Zucker, Blueger, Kapanen
McGinn, Boyle, Heinen
O'Connor, E-Rod, Lafferty

Or, you know, they could use what they skated with in practice today.

Guentzel-Carter-Rust
Zucker-Rodrigues-Kapanen
McGinn-Blueger-Heinen
O'Connor-Boyle-Lafferty

Dumoulin-Letang
Matheson-Marino
Pettersson-Friedman
Riikola-Ruhwedel

Damn those forwards are pretty damn close to being the opening day lineup.

I would love to see O'Connor get a spot before Simon. Hoping that ends up the case.
DOC was garbage last season. I’d love to see someone get a roster spot before Simon though.

Yeah, sure, they have like 8 guys who could conceivably play the center position. Not that I like any of them as the 2c, but if I were to pick one, I'd move Zucker up and try Guentzel between Heinen and Kapanen. They won't go there though. I went with the next best thing. That isn't E-Rod. It's a preseason game, so they'll find out another way not to dress a lineup. What does it matter? The D is fine.:dunno:
