He can pass. Simple passes to the next open man are a thing he's actually quite good at. Here's hoping it's preseason rust and not permanent tunnelvision.

Because he took a step in the right direction on this front last season so reverting to MINDLESS SHOOT will be disappointing

That's my OHL scouting report too, unfortunately. Short area/top speed puck handling, 1v1 skills, high level lane manipulation.....those are the knocks where I think his skill is average at best. Off puck skating, positioning in all 3 zones, quick pass chaining are his strengths. And I think that's just his game.
