Indeed, OK. Look and learn.

Ah you're right. It was Xhaka who turned off and caused Saliba to be sucked in, not Gabriel. You can see at 0:04 that Saliba was much closer to Edouard than White. It was obviously a quick taken freekick and the defense was in disarray, Gabriel lost Andersen, who put a ball back across, and tried to recover to Guehi. Xhaka turned off and let Guehi go so Saliba had to leave Edouard to mark Guehi. White then was in recovery to cover Edouard because White was originally lining up to cover Schlupp.

And White should have covered and didn't, period.
Yeah, White should have magically known the freekick was going to be played early, Gabriel was going to lose Andersen, Xhaka was going to lose Guehi and left his man to get goal side of Edouard prior to the freekick, even though it would have ruined the offside trap.

That's exactly how the game is supposed to be played.

Yes, the RB should always cover for the CB sliding. That's FB 101 :dunno:

Of the 24 players that have played so far, 7 have gone through L1.

Palace has quite a few good players but the weak links always show themselves at the end. As many times as Ayew dribbled the ball into dangerous positions he should have done something, he didn't, and 2-0 it's done.

Ayew wasn't good enough for top half L1. I'm very surprised he is starting on an EPL team.

Really poor game from Palace. Arsenal weren't even very good after the first 20-25 minutes or so, but they finished their chances.

Weird to see Will Hughes here. I remember Liverpool chased him for three whole years, didn't sign him and then his career goes nowhere.
