Near where sand and waves meet.
Coach Brunette,
If you ever have the urge to say the team needs "desperation" like you did during the in game interview the other night, then please just turn and leave the bench. Those were the words of a desperate coach.

At this point the team has given up the first goal in 75% of games. It has trailed by at least two in 10 or 11 of twelve games. The team you coach has the worst 5on5 scoring in the league after acquiring two 40+ goal scorers from last season.

The team has a leadership issue. You're the HEAD coach. The fans are waiting for you to fix things. Right now it seems the Panthers saw an impending trainwreck with you behind the bench and chose wisely to move on.

Can you do better?

Brian, an utterly disappointed fan.

Only my second live game this year.....and they are not making a great case to get me excited about more.

Only good players tonight IMO were Saros and L'H. Forsberg and Josi were ok. Stamkos and Skjei are going to be absolutely horrific contracts (who could have seen that coming). I liked that we got a little chippy to show we care, but man, this is a middle of the road team with a dark three years ahead of us unless things change dramatically.

Oh, and on the first goal, Cole Smith stayed out too long to try to score, wandered back behind the play, and changed while LA had possession in our zone. If Pars/Tomasino/etc did that, Bruno would send them to Siberia.

Did anyone notice FF on the Fiala goal? It looked like he never even made it into the defensive zone as he casually glides towards the turnover before turning and heading to the bench as soon as the puck is scored. I'm not saying its his fault. I'm saying watch his body language on that play and tell me the players have bought in and believe in what's being pushed to them. Something isn't right, and needs to change.

What do you mean benching one of your younger players for no apparent reason WASN'T a recipe for success?

Also, I do think the PP could use a guy like Stamkos. He would really wonders to that unit.

Yeah, pretty much as pathetic of an effort as I've seen in quite a while.
