The "new pieces" excuse was lame to start with. Why are the Predators a team struggling to integrate 3 new players when other teams have 4, 5, 6 new faces in their lineups and can play well?

No one is scoring. Defense is nonexistent at times. Horrible turnovers are the norm. Passing taking the form of panicked shots off the boards to who-knows-where... Those aren't really "integration" issues as much as just bad play.

If this Oilers lead holds, it will mark the second loss that falls primarily on the 4th line with just one win that they factored in.

When the team can't score 5on5 and hasn't figured out how to capitalize on more than on PP opportunity per game any goal against is a potential killer. Going down by two in 9 of 10 is inexcusable.

Now to see if McCarron got a skating lesson during intermission so he doesn't toe pick like a newbie.
