Lol something similar happened in my beer league. The other team had two dudes with the same number, which is an automatic penalty shot. We laughed and scored on the penalty shot to start the game 1-0.

One of our dudes comes late to the game mid 1st and jumps on the ice. Boom same number as someone else. Other team starts the 2nd period with a penalty shot. lol

The Blues got one against the Oilers 2 years ago, the Oilers scored on PP. Not the best way to start the game.

The ultimate power move would be to pencil in your PK1 unit on the lineup card and start 5 different skaters. Then when the refs give the bench minor and you start PK1 you can argue you did in fact fill out the card correctly. At which point the referees would have to resign in disgrace, go into seclusion, and never be heard from (or seen or smelled) again.

Never been a fan of Brunette. Was out of his depth in the playoffs with FLA. Sketchy decisions during his time in Nashville. This latest incident is not an overly huge deal, but the Preds should can him as soon as possible. He's not a good head coach and needs to join the musical chairs retread group of NHL coaches.
