Kamloops will be much better. A top 6 of Keller, Finnie, Lafreniere, Matthew, Behm, Thomson will be much improved. Add a 3rd overall import pick, and 3 quality overagers, I think they're good for 30-32 wins.

Sure maybe but for me they are still 5th as Victoria has a lot of good returning players and the best player overall in Cole Reschny.

The Royals also have a much better group of Dmen with 3 pretty decent 19 year olds next year.

I agree, Kamloops will be knocking on the door for playoffs. Will still be young.

SC is playing in the East this year. I would also put them as a coin flip with Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Regina. Depends on who is traded from who to recoup assets in Saskatoon/MJ/SC and what OAs come back.
I like PA in the East, MH will win at least 55 this year IMO, but don't sleep on Calgary and Edmonton being significantly better this season.

If Medicine Hat gets a top-end goalie they may be unbeatable.
They already have 15 year old Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll to add to their embarrassment of riches for the best forward group possibly in Canada right now.

They also have 6 pretty decent players still at NHL camps so if they need a goalie they can easily overpay for one.

Is anyone else disappointed by the slow start in the Hat this year?

In the Western conference, EVT and SPO are doing better than I expected them to be, while I wonder if PG isn't as good as the preseason expectation of runaway conference champions suggested. (It seems the formula so far to beat Everett is a goalie having their first career start in the league.)

Kelowna is slowly climbing out of a bad start. Doesn't look like they have many threats beyond Cristall + Iginla. I haven't caught much Victoria this year but am also surprised by how well they are doing. Verhoeff and Reschny look very good.

The rest of the conference looks to all be in the mushy average middle.

Kamloops has been good lately. 2 in a row, Lafreniere and Behm leading this team, I really believe will be 1st rounders in the NHL Draft this year.

Tips still looking good. Tri-City came out of nowhere with that win streak. Surprising. PG starting to sort themselves out and rise towards the top, too.

Not sure what the deal with Kelowna is, they are too good to be fighting for the last playoff spot. I expect to see them rise up.
