Someone else is splitting starts with him he's definitely not ready to be starter

I wouldn't say he's definitely not ready to be the starter but the Sharks aren't likely to just expect him to be either. The issue with the OP is that there isn't a chance in hell the Sharks would pay what it would cost to get Demko off Vancouver.

I think there's a good chance we see something like Greaves and Reimer in Columbus next year but if that is a starter-backup combo you would sooner expect Greaves to be the starter. He's played bigger workloads in recent years and gotten better results.

We're also not sure that Elvis won't be back. He wasn't terrible and had a winning record.
