Fasten your seat-belts as the Bruins once again will take us on an 82 game rollercoaster where every game and point is important.

Where will the Bruins be come the evening of April 8 2017?

I am hoping they can finish third in the division as Tampa Bay and Florida look to be the teams to beat.

Then we are looking at a logjam for #3 in the Atlantic and entry to the dance.

Hopefully the one message the coaching staff can get across is EVERY game is important as we have learned the past two seasons you can't win a playoff spot in October but you can lose one.

Oh oh, so far I am the only one to have voted "wild card". 94 points would be my guess.

Worst case scenario is 9th... Not good enough for the playoffs... Worst draft pick of those excluded from the playoffs... So please make it or sink at the bottom...

2 or 3rd in Atlantic.

No trade to fix D and any major injury to core player and caput

I voted first in the Atlantic than immediately thought of Tampa, I think we can finish ahead of Florida and I'm optimistic and think we can finish 2nd in the Atlantic.

Wildcard. I think we move forward this year after a struggle in November. Lots of key pieces moved both in and out. this year's team needs to win the winnable games to make any noise in April.

Wild Card team.

Bruins will be better than expected (F, D, and G all slightly improved)

Improvement in the Atlantic will keep them out of the Top 3.

I'm hoping the worst they finish is wild card somewhere around 94 - 97 points.
Forward group has the potential to carry them higher, but the defense is still suspect, and any long term injuries to key players and very easily they are a dnq. So that said they need to stay relatively healthy.
Struggles early on, personnel changes midseason - deadline, followed by renewed energy / optimism / youth carry them to the playoffs.

One thing I am certain of - the Bruins will have more points than Montreal.

I think they will finish third in the Atlantic.

Going into the season there is no improvement in the defence. You can't do the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Still, you have to remember how close we were to playoffs last 2 seasons..AND I think out D has already improved. If it improved by ONE point, we're in {just compared to LS}

Chara's age cannot be understated IMO.

Any incremental improvements to the defense as a whole are compromised by the continued decline of your your #1.

He should be a situational player now. This team has no true number 1 or 2,but everyone will be in roles that are above their ability due to necessity.

Miss the playoffs.
No real improvements (minus the 4th line), players had career years last year and will regress to their career averages, and Chara will be another year older.
