On Buffalo...

They signedc 22 pick Leinonen to an ELC starting next year
After preseason the sabres signed 23 pick Ratzlaff to a sliding ELC .

In AHL they could havr both of them in Rochester or they loan leinonrn yo eutooe for next season

25/26 is Levus last yr of exemption if until he hits a game total

I could see them just resigning Reimer.

Florida won't have the cap room for Allen. They will probably re,-sign Vanecek for at least a year. They supposedly really like him, and Florida has gotten their backups to elevate their games the last couple years from where they previously were in their careers(Lyon, Stolarz). And Vanecek probably won't have many options this summer due to his stats .
 
I think Gibson to Carolina is more smoke than fire. I can't see Carolina giving Verbeek anything near his asking price for Gibson and if Gibson is unhappy about the tandem with Dostal, how is he going to feel about going to a team that believes in tandems as a core operating philosophy of their approach to goaltending?

If we wanted to give 80% of the starts to a goalie who claims they play better playing every game and being the clear-cut #1, we'd probably just do that with Kochetkov.

wallstedt will be on the roster. He's not going back to Iowa for a 4th straight year , and not after signing the extension that he did
 
detroit needs an upgrade in net, unfortunately for some reason yzerman took on mrazek who has another year.

If they go into the season with Talbot/Mrazek or Mrazek/Pickard that would just be bad

dont know what that means but you have to figure they try to go for a higher end goalie like andersen/gibson/someone else
 
zero world where silovs is van’s backup. they’ll sign someone if they trade demko
 
I don’t think Pittsburgh would swap Ned for Ingram. They need to make a place for Blomqvist or Murashov in two years. Ingram is signed for an extra year.

Is there any indication that he's unhappy with being paired with Dostal? The two of them together are one of the better duos in the NHL & with the usage more or less 50/50 (when healthy) they're both getting plenty of work & plenty of rest. Next season 50/50ish, the following season start shifting the workload more to Dostal as he will be the future as Gibson transitions to a more traditional backup role in seasons after that.

After all those years with truly abysmal teams, he might get really pissed off/take the attitude to a new team if he gets traded right as the team turns the corner.
 
The Flyers will almost certainly address the position in the offseason, but I don't see us trading for Demko. I'd expect the Flyers to look at Allen or Lyon, since they'd only cost cash.

I don't see Columbus letting Greaves go when he has been the only goalie that has been consistently competent in the last few years.

More likely Andersen retires or goes back to play in Europe than securing another NHL deal.

Great post.

I think however, Askarov is at least the backup next year. I think he has earned/proven that he deserves an extended look. They definitely will be shopping for a vet goaltender like Andersen or Allen in the off-season. I think I prefer Andersen myself so I'm with you there. I can also see Grier shopping for another goalie if Asky struggles during the season so I wouldn't rule out trading for one like you have, just during the deadline.
