And to reiterate one point

They came out flat as pancakes in the first (on the 2nd of a B2B coming in late from Vancouver) and we spent lots of time pressuring them but not finishing. Totally unacceptable and of course it bit us in the ass.

This game was an awful loss tbh. One we needed to win and should have won but we lost 4-1.

It'll be interesting to see how management and coaching responds.

This is how it looks when you don't have consistent top line talent to score a point per game. The team played well enough to win. They didn't and it's most because their special teams suck and they don't have a guy to create effectively every shift.

They generate very little speed through the NZ. The Preds goalie was good. As much as I would like to blame this on a single player or line it's more a Treliving loss than anything else. Reinforces my view that there should be many more before spring. It would be kind of funny to make the playoffs but immensely tragic to miss by 2-6pts or something.

I went to sleep at 2 down, this latest team is not doing it for me. Start exploring the market and try to bump players value up.

Suggestions:

* Give Vladar weaker opponents and push his value/stats up
* Play Kuzmenko on the top line till TDL
* Play Barrie till TDL

Dismantle this bubble team, trade/draft well and start again.
