he's as good as gone imo, I can't imagine he would be the lock they'd rest, I can't imagine he could even be a lock. They would have rested Fleury or Hicketts and played him if he was still in with a shot, they likely decided he's going to be cut so no reason to waste time playing him while other decisions have to be made.

Different rules for international hockey. You get to dress the full 23 man roster in international hockey but you dont get injury replacements during the tournament so the 23 you dress is all you have for the full run.
