He reminds me of a two specific players who made the NHL at 18 who I won't name, because that kind of comparison isn't fair. But, he's been excellent. Really high IQ.

It truly blows me away, I don't think I can remember being this impressed by a newly drafted D+1 prospect before. Of course I liked Kotkaniemi/Galchenyuk in their first camps but that was a ceiling/upside thing where they showed interesting tools but had a raw game otherwise. Beck just looks like an NHLer already, so smart and so smooth. Genuinely amazed, especially given he's an OHL player who missed all of the 20-21 season.
