It's been quite something watching the Norlinder hype train start to derail.

I remember being impressed by his zone entries and OZ blue line work when I first saw him. It seems like the rest of the game hasn't come along yet.

Montreal's best players are all rookies, or Anthony Richard & Caufield. Good sign.

Definitely wouldn't hurt Slafkovsky to start in Laval, especially with all the forwards, but I like what he's brought so far. He has a good stick.

Let Slaffy dominate the AHL or die trying.

He looks like he needs more development time. Will be a nice project to watch though and could develop into a great 3rd liner in a few years. :sarcasm:

I just don’t see why they thought those two would work together. Both are playmakers that want to hold on to the puck as much as possible.
MSL wants them to shoot!

But really, they real issue is that they didn't even have one practice together outside the morning skate.

Dear J. Barron......

lotsa fans are counting on you to validate the Lehky trade, time to show something ;)

I find that he’s out of position most of the times. He would gain a lot by slowing down his movements in the defensive zone.

Is anyone watching on the new SN app? I've had NHLtv the last few years and liked it, but not that's gone and I've never had very good experiences with anything sportnet.

Let's see how he looks against an entire line up of NHL players first.

I think he is about ready but no need to rush him.
Totally fair, but looking forward, unless Hughes brings in another vet you have to think Barron is starting with the Habs simply based on numbers.

I was thinking the same thing. Dach wants the puck and Slaf wants the puck. Don't mesh well.

Maybe Dach will play well with Anderson afterall. But we have a lot of shooters like Gallagher, Caufield, Monahan, Dvorak, Dadonov, etc... so it shouldn't be hard to find him linemates.
