McCann kind of johnny on the spot there with the brutal turnover by Sharks, but he's been doing such a great job of putting himself in lanes, smart positioning. Such poise and slick finish too. Not sure how many other current Canucks bury that one.

Kelser trade not looking so bad now, I think McCan can be as good as logan couture a solid 65 point centre and good on both ends of the ice

Lol that had BARELY anything to do with Virtanen. That was Pizza level stuff there with nieto

Uh huh. Virtanen being a handful for Mueller and keeping the puck down low, and getting a stick on the breakout pass had nothing to do with anything...

Nice forecheck by Virtanen. Beautiful finish by McCann. Hutton continuing to look silky smooth with his breakout passes. Gaunce showing some heart. Hell, even Miller looked good.

On the downside - man, Prust looks awful and slow as molasses. Maybe it's just highlighted by how strong a skater Dorsett is, but damn.

Vey not looking good. Sadly, neither is Baertschi. Made a nice recovery on Pavelski there, but it was his own brutal turnover that lead to that chance.

If they decide to give Hutton, McCaan and Virtanen/Gaunce a roster spot I will forgive them for everything...

Until they do something stupid again.

kenins is more and more the prototypical fourth liner for me

quick, hits, wreaks havok, will score some. as long as it's not at mccann's expense i'd love to see him on the night-1 lineup

I'm pretty sure any other Canuck would have missed that shot lol. That was an absolute snipe.

Not sure how much Virtanen had to do with that turnover... but that was solid pressure on the forecheck.

thats why Virtanen, makesvthe team.....he can skate and hit hard, even when they hit him theyvbounce off.

with Sj,anh and la we need that big body.

Please do the right thing and unite McCann and Virtanen for the rest of this game.

Yup , but unfortunately we'd have to get rid of Vey + Prust/Dorsett for that too happen... which isn't going to happen lol.

Benning is not going to swallow his pride and have Prust, Vey, Bart lose their spot over McCann, Gaunce, Virtenan, Kenins.

Still looks plenty bad - we got crap in terms of value back. The 1st turning into McCann and McCann's development makes it sting less though.

why are you convinced we won't get rid of prust? honestly i reckon the point of the kassian deal was to get rid of kassian. not that i endorse it, but it is what it is.
