Just scored two tics for the game tomorrow night kinda pricey but what the heck. Does some one have a link for the starting lineups?

:isles:isles:isles:isles

The line-ups haven't been posted yet. In fact, not a whole lot has been posted on the Islanders website since the Barclays practice on Thursday. I think there was one article about Brock Nelson and that's been it. Kinda disappointing...

Anyway, just keep an eye on the official website or Islanders Point Blank over the next day or so and I'm sure they'll post them.

Didn't find any news about the first preseason game either :( Also kinda disappointed about the lack of insights into the training camp / potential rookies that will be given a chance.

I've been thinking of checking this out too, but I want to know JT/Strome/Baertschi are playing before I shell out $90-$150 on pre-season tickets, I shelled out for tickets to Tbay-Ott a few years back and if I recall Hedman was about he only guy who made the trip from either team. I know pre-season is when you go to see the up and coming talent, but not at $100+

The official website coverage has been awful besides the Barclays practice. I guess they feel like that was enough. It's weird because they always seemed to have a fair share of coverage.

The game is gonna be streamed on NYI.com {Calgary airs their games for the fans so we're stealing their feed}.

from NYI on Facebook:
Tomorrow night's Islanders vs. Flames split-squad game in Calgary will be streamed LIVE on www.NewYorkIslanders.com courtesy of Flames TV.

An audio feed of the Islanders vs. Flames split-squad game in Regina, Saskatchewan will also be available.

Both games are set to begin at 9 PM Eastern Time. Links to the broadcasts will be available tomorrow.

Staple already tweeted who was going to Regina:

Tavares, Strome, Martin, Cizikas, Nelson, Moulson, Bouchard, Lee, Boulton, McDonald, Sundstrom, Gallant; Hamonic, Hickey, Visnovsky, Strait, Finley, Mayfield, Ness; Nabby, Reiter.

No idea on the lines yet.

great thanks

great thanks

NP. I do think it's interesting that Hammer is going to Regina with Strait instead of MacDonald. Doesn't make sense to not have Hamonic and MacDonald playing preseason games together unless there is a real possibility of them being split up.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it though.

I think you are.

Cappy has shown time and time again that he is on the higher end of the spectrum as far as reluctance to make any changes. My guess is that this is his time to test ideas that he has that he is unwilling to try during the regular season game. I think by the Brooklyn game we might have more of an idea of what he is actually thinking.

My guess on the lines:

Moulson - Tavares - Bouchard
Lee - Nelson - Strome
Martin - Cizikas - McDonald
Gallant - Sundstrom - Boulton

Strait - Hamonic
Hickey - Viz
Finley - Ness/Mayfield

I feel torn. I'd like to see CdH make the team over Donovan, but I feel like Donovan is more of what we need right now. A guy who can put up points, with a big shot, and can give us that trigger man for the 2nd PP unit. de Haan has offensive ability, but he doesn't have that shot. Nor does he have the potential to put up 40-50 points, like Donovan IMO.

Glad to see Strome standing out as well. Would love nothing more than to see him force the Isles' hand, and make it impossible for them to send him down. IMO, he's good enough to make that happen(even at this point in his development). All he needs is to be put in the right opportunity in camp.

I am surprised, I figured more of the "A" team would be going to Calgary

What's this with the split games? Why are they playing at the same time? I know other teams are doing it and I like the two games with two squads and more players getting their chance but what about the coaching staff? Plus as a fan you can't watch both games.

apparently they arent doing it for the fans. especially sending tavares, strome, nabby, hamonic etc to the un-televised regina game.

Both games are "untelevised", it's just that the Flames are streaming the Calgary game because it's at the home arena.

The Isles probably sent their better players to Regina because the organization has had a good relationship with the people of Saskatchewan since they held camp there in 2009. They've likely gained some fans up there and want to continue to cultivate a fanbase.

They sure would be giving Sundstrom a chance to shine with that lineup :shakehead, It's like when Niederreiter was with Pandolfo and Reasoner.

I thought I read that both games would be steamed through the Islanders website?
