Anyone impressed with Brazeau’s intelligence? Geekie actually is playing okay tonight but I still feel Brazeau thinks the game better than Geekie and could help Coyle and Marchand. .

I can’t remember an NHL player who doesn’t have his stick on the ice more than Geekie. Been trying to drive that habit with 13 year olds and I’m pissed they do it. He gets surprised by the kick so much.

Brazeau has high end playmaking and IQ for his size. Tantalizing potential considering his path to the NHL. Not expecting 50+ points but I'd prefer a gamble on his offensive talent over Geekie or Frederic with the 2nd line. At least a trial.

Seriously though, I agree about Johnson, I like him but I don’t know where he fits. Matty should be the third line center, then you got Jones still. Unless he’s the 13th forward

Really good period, controlled the play. Like to see them pot another with that many shots but preseason is for rust removal.
