Nice to see Sasson do something and Blais get the message. Patera also had a good period. The vets looked fine with Hughes being 10x better than anyone else.

Might be the last time we see Jett Woo wear the orca. Might have already passed for Akito Hirose though.

As with every year I feel the need to say….pre-season is for young players and bubble players. Vets looking good or bad isn’t meaningful.
I agree for the most part, but Petey has a lot to prove this season and you'd think he'd have a bit more jump off the bat than this. Also concerning because him in "pre-season mode" is indistinguishable from how he ended last season.

It’s important for him to hit the ground running - yes, but let’s see where we’re at after 5-10 games instead of now.

Sassons line was real good. Sassons probably the best player on the ice. If it is a battle between him and Raty to stick, Sassons wheels may give him an edge. DiGuiseppe and Sherwood look like locks. Diguiseppe has come a long ways since joining the Canucks.

Lekk is more or less ok - not getting in the play much.

Sprong didn't look like a scorer on his wide open chance. Can see the problems in transition defensively.

Julsson was the worst defenseman. Woo not showing enough

A player that had 100 points then 89 has nothing to prove in a warm up pre season game
That's absolutely true and there's no reason to panic over the play of a veteran in the preseason.

On the other hand, after the big drop in his play about midway through last season, a lot of fans would feel a lot more comfortable if he displayed his best.
