His speed hasn't looked noticeably terrible to me either. As someone who's been pretty dismissive of him, if he keeps this up, he seems like he could maybe become a Suter/Heinen-esque player.

His slowness was really noticeable last year, looks like he really improved since

I don't really understand why they didn't go after Tanev when he was a FA out of college. We had Tanev on the team, the Canucks must have been high on his list.

They did, he even attended our camp in 2011, He just choose to sign in Winnipeg.
