Schneider has been great in Hickey’s spot tonight, MSG on the Isles side just has such an eye for talent.
It's amazing.Schneider has been great in Hickey’s spot tonight, MSG on the Isles side just has such an eye for talent.
How do we translate this success into first round draft picks?Schneider has been great in Hickey’s spot tonight, MSG on the Isles side just has such an eye for talent.
Jake Allen is a mediocre to terrible goalie anyway.Horvat just made Jake Allen look like an ECHL goalie
We know this. He is however NJ’s current backup behind above average (and severely overhyped) Jacob Markstrom.Jake Allen is a mediocre to terrible goalie anyway.
I was impressed with Cholowski. Foudy’s got some wheels. From some limited viewing I think Foudy, Karlstrom and Cholowski looked solid.
Maybe he’s a better goalie when he doesn’t have to be superman while playing on a bad Bridgeport team. Knowing you have players playing positions properly can help control your gameSkarek 45/45 in preseason last three seasons
Cholowski has been superb in every game he’s played, a huge transformation. Tough guy to cutI was impressed with Cholowski. Foudy’s got some wheels.
That's because he is an ECHL quality goalie.Horvat just made Jake Allen look like an ECHL goalie
But he was with Montreal and they said he’s good. Now NJ has him and Markstrom. That’s going to lead them to the cup and have them run the table with the Jennings because NJ getting Allen = good. The preseason polls said so. They also said that the Isles would finish 6th in the division and that Duclair isn’t going to be anything what he’s showing currently with the Barzal-Horvat duo. That's because he is an ECHL quality goalie.
Anomaly. One of those quirky stats that people will talk about.Skarek 45/45 in preseason last three seasons
Devils goaltending maybe improved by a little, but Keefe’s style isn’t kind to goalies either. We know this. He is however NJ’s current backup behind above average (and severely overhyped) Jacob Markstrom.
Welcome to the club. The preseason polls have them and the team of elbows as the top in the division by a large sum. I have a feeling Roy is going to let the top line run wild this year and it all rolls downhill from there. That should easily lead to a better team effort over 60 and substantially improved record. Keefe rolled out his lineup last night minus Jack Hughes and injured players. Nothing they have impressed me one bit. All the young superstar were invisible. Even an AHL line of Karlstrom-MacLean-Dufour looked dangerous vs them.Devils goaltending maybe improved by a little, but Keefe’s style isn’t kind to goalies either.
Thinking Markstrom (an average goalie and playoff waif) and Allen (a terrible goalie) are taking the Devils to the promised land, is a bit foolish hype.
They made moves because they had to, but that doesn’t mean they will help elevate the team. Consider me very skeptical.
