Trotz being a former coach that worked for a guy like David Poile and then his alter ego Lou, will give Brunette a looooong leash. He speaks very positively of him on pods etc that I’ve listened to.

The Oilers shooting percentage won’t be in the gutter all season. This team is imperfectly constructed but the concerns I had about their speed/skating, as of now anyway , have been quieted. This team had a lot of turnover from last year and I was curious about how they’d play. I like how they’re skating so far, even if the pucks haven’t been going in.
