I don't know if it's Housleys system and that he is telling his players not to play a physical brand of hockey but
our team is soft as butter.
Not one player crash the net, take the body with authority, drop the gloves, do the dirty work that wins important hockey games.

Which Power Forward could the Sabres land in a trade involved A.Nylander + STL 1st ?

is the answer jesus

I don't think it's Housley telling players not to play physical. For most guys you've either got it or you don't. I think most offers for that package will be underwhelming.

Ferland is probably best bet...but he is UFA ..and I wouldn't pay that for that player who is UFA

I would move Coyle for that, but that’s probably a bit much for Coyle

I doubt CAR would move Ferland to another bubble team to compete directly against them for a playoff spot, either.

In before somebody offers a former power forward negative-value cap dump from their team (eg. Lucic) and thinks they're being clever.

Hi Sabres should make a deal with the LA Kings:
Trade a 1st Rounder, a 3rd Rounder, Guhle , Hutton, Nylander to the Kings for Martinez, Brown and Quick.

should've gone after nick ritchie when his price was lower...
or Josh Anderson when he was holding out

who am I kidding it's the sabres...adding a powerforward with actual talent hasn't been done in a decade or better. We either get paper soft teams or steve ott and john scott. Dressing physical players who actually contribute to a game hasn't been a buffalo thing in awhile now.

Not really, but it depends on how BUF views Nylander. Do they see him as a top 6 NHL player, bottom six, or do they doubts that he is even a NHL player?

Coyle has a smallish cap hit which adds to his value.

Value seems fair but Kempe is pretty important to LA, especially if Carter is moved or injured.
I definitely recognize his importance. He impressed me quite a bit in the few games the Sabres and Kings have played.

the thing is he is very inconsistent. He stepped up huge last year in Carter's absence and was a big reason why LA made the playoffs. This year he was largely invisible in the first have of the season but has turned it up lately.
At the end of the day no one should be untouchable to the kings and if that mentioned deal went down I would not be pissed....would not be thrilled either though,

Yeah I agree but he’s in pace for 41 points this year. Even if you sell him as a 50 point NHLer, I don’t see a team giving up a 1st and a good prospect.
