He’s on a league minimum contract
That’s still not going to give another team an incentive to touch him. Then he’s also locked into an NHL roster spot if claimed. Too many below average-bad goalies currently across the league and teams really don’t need another one currently.

I hope to see Steeves claimed to be honest. 3 strong years with the Marlies, but has barely been given any games here. Had 1G and 8 hits in his only Preseason outing, which is exactly what he needed to show to break in, but it won't happen again.

Tough to say if he'll be given a shot since there will be 100 others on waivers on the same day, but I think he's earned a look.

Murray and Timmins will be the other two maybes, as other have outlined. I can see TOR attempting to extract a late pick for Timmins like Lafferty last year, but he'll ultimately be waived if not.

Is that Brett Murray waived from Buffalo? Is there a NHLer there or is his skating too poor?

Josh Brown is like the complete opposite type than Barron/Timmins. If the oilers value that type of game for their 3RD, i doubt those two would be of much interest.
I think they value that type of player for the 7/8D to be honest. They wanted Broberg as their #6 D heading into the year. They won't get someone with Broberg's raw ability, but he's certainly more of a puck mover than Brown.

The most interesting guy to watch on the Blues is Scott Perunovich. I personally think he sucks so I don’t care if he gets claimed, but he may be intriguing to other teams around the league if they feel he still has some potential. He’s currently 8th on our depth chart it seems, so if we only keep 7 D, then he may not make it and would have to go through waivers.

The only other semi-noteworthy player that might be waived is Kasperi Kapanen. He’s in a battle for one of our spare forward spots. I won’t care if we lose him either but a team looking for forward depth may take a look at him.

Small skilled defenseman... I could see Pittsburgh claiming him twice on waivers knowing Kyle's tendencies.
