If Verhaeghe was the one going out with no retention then it’s feasible to sign Bennett, just not Ekblad too. Most likely starting next season pretty similar to this season: Forsling-jones, Mikkola-Kulikov, balinskis-schmidt. Would obviously depend on what he’d re-sign for. Assuming 10-11.5per.
 
Seems like Zito has checked all the boxes for needed roster upgrades !

I think he is a fine 6D. I don't think he is as strong as OEL last year, but I also believe Jones in better than 2023-2024 Montour.

I want another player that can step in if there is an injury.

I think a guy like Jokiharju (Buffalo) could be a cheap acquisiton that could force Schmidt out of the line up

Honestly, if Rantanen wants to play here badly, and is willing to sign a team friendly contract in line with what our other core players are signing, then just wait and pick him up in the offseason.

God imagine the f***ing fumble by Carolina if Necas and Rantanen both sign in Colorado

lmao. Their team is quality, but maybe living there isnt the best
