Including tonight, there are only 5 games left until the trade deadline. If Tkachuk is going to get put on LTIR it needs to happen sooner than later if Zito plans on making a big upgrade.

So, trade his rights? He may end up signing with the Panthers when his college season is done, but, by returning for his senior year, he can become a free agent this summer. If the Panthers are using him in trade talks why would he sign with them when he can choose to play most anywhere?

He probably doesn't know the Panthers are including him in trade talks. I mean Devine would just be one piece. Yes, he won't hold the same value as a top prospect under team control like in the CHL.
