I think the latterRight? Unless he was trying to get ABoq more time, I don’t think we NEEDED to waive him. Wonder what Zito has cookin, or maybe he just got tired of him. Lol

3.5 is pretty good. I’m assuming they’ll clear a moron like Balinskis too.
We gave him a chance, he didn't run with it.
Yeah he should have said, “he didn’t skate with it”.Not true IMO.
Not true IMO.
I agree with this. I wanted Boqvist to work out here really badly because his strengths seemed to fit in with what our needs were. But, his offensive ability was underwhelming most nights and his defense was easily the worst out of all our dmen.We gave him 18 games, almost a quarter of the season, with pp time, and he only potted 6 pts., with horrible defense. What did you want Maurice to do? Bjornfot outplayed him in only a handful of games. Bjornfot and Balinskis are just more reliable.

He could pan out elsewhere, but he never seemed to mesh with us.
I think they got equal opportunity to start and ABoq did nothing with it. Balls isn’t great, but imo he’s the better d-man. Nothing looked interesting about ABoq, terrible defensively and didn’t do much with offense, Balls is the more capable guy, and in a few games Bjornfot looked far better than ABoq, which sealed his fate.As I’ve said, we’ll agree to disagree.
How many of those 18 games were consecutive ? He barely stayed in the lineup because of some injuries but moreso because of the f***ing man-crush this organization has on that turd Balinskis… You saw both at the point on the PP, and it was pretty clear who can do it and which player CAN’T… Yet Uvis’ leash was WAYYYYYY greater in that role, which is ridiculous !
We never tried Adam with Mikkola for example, Paul keeping that « no offense » second-pair all year…
I love PoMo, but the truth is, he was always terrible at handling young defensemen… He proved it here once again.
And it’s a shame for the Boqvists, if I was Jesper, I would be pretty sad at the lack of opportunities my brother got… And I’m pretty sure Adam had better offers in FA, but accepted that ridiculous one-year contract, because management sold him on opportunities and all… He got NONE here.
We’ll see what happens with him under Roy, atleast I will… But there was no way he wouldn’t be claimed on waivers, pretty sure Zito could even have gotten a pick.
That Adam Boqvist thing has been just bad management 101 since the start of that collaboration.
And I’m not saying Adam is a world-beater or anything, he does have upside… But he didn’t get his opportunity here, and I’ll never agree with people saying otherwise.
If you you cant beat out Ballsy for a spot, what does that say about you??? hmmmmm....As I’ve said, we’ll agree to disagree.

Or the third answer: Zito wants to give players another chance if they won’t get time. That’s how he convinces players to give us a chance. For the Forslings or J Boqvist’s of the world, we have also had guys like Hinostroza who didn’t work and Zito found a new home forI think the latter
