I think he'll rotate in and out the lineup with Boqvist. They just need more muscle and ability to win board battles in the playoffs. Simple as that. He hasn't scored a ton in the regular season and I'd reckon that his scoring will take a big hit in the playoffs when he has to really fight for scoring chances.

More deep analysis: Ottawa now has Cousins and Cozens.

And the Panthers lost March to Vegas, picked up March from Toronno but lost him to Dallas, and now picked up March from Boston. Just can’t permanently remove March from Florida.

I was in a middle of a meeting at work that went past 3pm. I check Twitter on the way back to my desk and my jaw hit the floor when I saw it. I was hoping so bad for this but didn’t think it’d actually happen. First it went from how could they trade him, to its most likely going to happen but he’s going out west, to he’s not only staying in the conference, not only within the division, but they traded him to us of all teams hahahaha

Omg this keeps getting better. Wait, what? They’re retaining on him too? Wtf is this :laugh: no one else could beat that offer? I’ve been giddy smiling ear to ear all day, I can’t believe this lmaoooo

I don’t think they’re putting Erod on the 4th line, who led the Stanley cup final in goals scored, for a smallish rookie who’s going to be experiencing playoff hockey for the first time. Not a knock on Samo, he’s really impressed me and I love his game, but how he handles the playoffs (and boqvist to a lesser extend) is still a little bit of a question mark. Either way, it’s a good problem to have. Our 4th is like another 3rd line

On a funny note, we’ve left quite a path of destruction across the Eastern conference in the last couple years. Boston and New York in particular have come unglued.

The only team that we might’ve helped was Chicago with the Jones trade. While Jones helps us now, Knight seems poised to become a core piece in their rebuild. Hopefully a win-win but he will be missed.

Consider it an IOU for Chicago beating Pittsburgh in 2023. All debts are paid.

I don't see a reason why they'd suddenly put ERod on the 4th line especially when he wasn't passenger but a productive player in the playoffs. However, since Samo still with the team and Boqvist got re-signed, ERod might be getting traded in the off-season.

If Pulju finds himself in the the Cats roster, Greer - Sturm - JP could be an excellent forechecking 4th line.

I’m not sure why you say that since he has already been on the 4th line several times this year.
 
The question is: Has the dust settled yet? Will we continue to see the sky screaming today?

I was sitting there reading the fallout of The Rat trade, and I was giggling like a school girl for hours.🤣😂
