Talk all about potential playoff match ups (aka freaking out over Toronto) here.

It's going to be a grind no matter who we get, so I can't even freak out about this or that matchup. I'd just like us to get up to 2nd place to get home ice.

The East is so stacked this year that at least 2 or 3 legit contenders who probably would've won the cup 3 or 4 years ago are going to be eliminated in the first round.

LIKELY scenario unless a major collapse happens I'm seeing likely playing out of the Metro in Round 1, and potentially Carolina, as Florida likely clinches the one seed in the Conference

Living here in Ottawa losing to the Leafs will be unbearable. This would be the 1st time that I actually worry that the Bruins won't win the series. For that reason I would rather face anyone else, far less stressful.

I would take either Florida or Tampa, Tampa doesn't seem to have the same 4 line impact that they had in prior years after FA and the Expansion draft. Florida I dont buy for a second that Goalie Bob is going to carry a team to the cup finals, even one that talented. That core of players doesn't have a lot of playoff experience and what little they have wasn't particularly good, I get that they added some experience in trades but I dont get the same scary factor that Tampa gave off at the height of their powers.

I don't want Carolina, they are like a more skilled and less heavy islanders group. Fast and relentless and Andersen is NOT a bad goalie. The season series doesn't really help build any confidence either.

Toronto, Idk I feel like they will be trying EXTRA hard to get through round one to finally get the monkey off their back and could be either a blowout 5 game gentlemens sweep or a 7 game stunner (gm7 would be in Toronto most likely). would be funny to eliminate them in round 2 though lol (assuming both teams make it there).

On the other side? Washington is the weak link and will be an easy out for whoever they face. NYR? Id stay away from their bracket if possible, never face the hot goalie... and Pittsburgh? Jarry will Jarry.

Bruins big question mark is which of Jekyll or Hyde will show up between the pipes for both Swayman and Ullmark.

whomever gets the 1 seed you likely play the opposite and if Florida clinches as they do have the best record you might have to play the Metro teams before you unless Carolina wins the overall East 1 seed is the way it's looking now even if you drop to WC 2 or the 8

Don't care who we get round 1 because there are no easy outs in the East this year. 7 of the 10 teams in points currently are from the East. I don't know that I've ever been more excited for playoff hockey honestly. Everyone of these series in the East is going to feel like a heavyweight battle and that's not something you can say about the West.

If anyone wants Florida more than Tampa or Toronto they haven't been paying attention to Florida games

Match up doesnt matter to me. This club when they show up to play can beat anyone.
When they dont they can get shellacked.

Drives me crazy.

But if Im an opposing team I dont want to play Bruins in first round. I dont want them until they’ve been physically beaten down some.

It will either be Toronto or Carolina most likely. Todays game is actually quite telling on who it will end up being.

No team in the East scares me, or doesn't scare me. The parity is insane this year. Any team is capable of going the entire way. I hate preferring a matchup, bring on whoever it ends up being.

There will be no upsets in the East this year. I’m not picking or hoping for anything at this point. Contenders 1-8

I don’t know. Tampa is still only 1 point behind the Bruins and they have a much easier schedule the rest of the way . Bruins will be facing much stiffer competition for the most part . I think Tampa gets the 3rd spot but it will be close.

Yea lots of games left but it will still be Toronto or Carolina barring anything crazy.
