I would like to swap Knies for Kerfoot but that's a lot to ask of a rookie. If Kerfoot falters badly, maybe give it a shot.

60 PPG is still the best of all time though so cant complain too much
60 points pace per 82 obviously *

This is the top 9 I really want to see. And if Matthews and Marner are getting shutdown by Point/Bergeron you flip flop Tavares and Matthews for more balance without reorganizing the entire lineup every game or 5 shifts.

Alright, Knies is starting to make me think he could be a possibility for game1.

Last night was another perfect example of why you separate JT and Willy.

Willy with ROR and a guy on his second ever NHL game, gets a goal and two assists (great steal off Hedman - pity Knies didn't score but he at least got his first assist), and leads the team in shots and takeaways (with ROR).

Starting to get frustrating. Make the change Keefe, if it dont work you can always go back. Refusing to make this change but making all other changes possible dont make sense.

Maby we will se more of Nylander without Tavares now when ROR is back... Maby...

Tavares got the primary assist on Jarnkrok's goal, on a pass from Willie.

I think i would take Kerfoot out in favor of Knies. I see a lot of people are looking to drop either ZAR or Lafferty, but for me Kerfoot is now the officially weakest player on this team.

The fact that ZAR is tied with Kerfoot for goals, speaks volumes. Lafferty and ZAR look well suited for 3rd, 4th line play. They can throw hits and play physical and have some offensive upside.

Which is why you have them together on the PP (and only then).
You tried to represent Nylander's offensive explosion last night as a result of "separating JT and Willy", but 2 of the 3 goals came with Tavares and Nylander together.

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Tavares - O'Rielly - Nylander
Kerfoot - Acciari - Jarnkrok
AstonReese - Kampf - Lafferty

McCabe - Brodie
Giordano - Holl
Rielly - Schenn

The first was Willy with two good linemates (and JT nowhere to be found), on a rush play. The other was Willy doing all the work with JT just standing in the slot, which is the typical PP situation.

But I was talking more about overall play: apart, Willy is much better, and JT is only slightly worse, so an overall improvement.

Tavares is right in view for the first one, with him and Jarnkrok open on the other side of the ice, drawing attention from Vasilevsky.
The second one Tavares works in front of the net and gets the primary assist with a quick pass to Jarnkrok. Not sure how lobbing a weak shot to the net is "doing all the work".
All your Tavares undervaluing aside, fact is that 2 of the 3 goals were scored with Tavares and Nylander together.

Knies will be as good or better than bunting

Knies has proven he's physically ready. The only question is if he can get up to speed with the team and system with very little practice time.

Bunting aint coming out though. If Knies is playing, he's taking Lafferty's spot (assuming no injuries).
