Back to Montgomery and Bruins coaching.

Who has an estimate on how many more games Monty will be behind the bench?

I'll say the team has made some improvement with a few defensive zone adjustments but other areas of their game are still lacking.

Is it the coaching?
The system?
A lack of talent ?

If it's the lack of talent then it won't matter the system or the coach.
If they had the players to run Montgomery's system there wouldn't be a problem.
Maybe they have some talent, but not enough.
So, if they don't have the talent to run the current system, then either the system or coach needs to change to get the most out of what talent they do have.

If Monty was ever fired, they should hire someone from outside like maybe Gallant, but you know they will just promote Sacco or Leach.
Probably.

And the beat goes on.

As allergic as they are to bad publicity, from ownership to management, they will never hire Joel Quennville, but that would be my play.

I would also get a kick out of Daryl Sutter.

Posted this in the post-game thread:

Mark Stuart - Edmonton Oilers Assistant Coach. He knows the Bruins legacy. He was a tough SOB. Bruins link but not recent. My grandmother would make a better coach than Monty right now and she's passed years ago.

I am not a fan of this coach. But this is just stupid
Why? Tell me logically why it's stupid. At this point, they could put a traffic cone on the bench instead of Monty and it wouldn't be stupid. I find your comment a bit over the top on a message board when you don't know whether it would work or not. It's my take, you may not like it which is fine but it's unfair to call it stupid.

Ok, I'll try it this way. I had a take on a possible next coach of which others have opined with their potential replacements. I have no issues with people making their suggestions and I don't say that their ideas are stupid. The person with the higher post count isn't always right. Respect your opinions, don't always agree with them, but never say that they're stupid. With that, I'm done.

Then stop comparing your grandmother to an NHL coach. Find a better way

If you recall correctly, Bergeron and DK#46 did not play in the first few games of that series. You may also recall, they were up three games to one when Montgomery inserted both into the lineup.

Factually incorrect. Krejci played in game 2.

Bruins head out west for nearly two weeks on December 8th. A 5 game road trip through Winnipeg, Seattle, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

Prior to that trip they have 13 games against mediocre opponents. St. Louis and Detroit twice. Along with Dallas, Columbus, Utah, Vancouver, Islanders, Pittsburgh, Montreal, Philadelphia and Chicago.

If they can't get this ship back on track in those 13 games, I seriously doubt Monty will be going on that trip out west.

I believe prior to the last two games the Bs were said to be slated against only 3 playoff teams from last year in the next 15 games.

I think your timeline is right.

It’s not an if it’s happening to me anymore. It’s when.
