Ive always thought people were overly harsh on Sweeneely here, but to me if you're on coach 3 of YOUR choosing, then you should be gone too....especially when one of those coaches goes elsewhere and immediately wins a cup
I like Don and Cam. They have one job to do for the owner and that's to get 41 sellouts. I truly believe they would have rebuilt way differently, but didn't have the luxury. That being said you can't be on your fourth coach on 9 years and 2 months and only make it past round 2 once (because of an easy road). Just can't.

Stripping the C? Your grasping. Marchand is fine as a captain. There are other issues that maybe 99% of people here don’t know about. Everyone throwing darts including myself.

You don’t know the context. Assuming that he’s laughing about losing is a stretch.

i didn't assume that. i commented on watching him laugh as the fans were booing the team. regardless, it may have just been poor timing on his part. this is after the lame attempt at playing defense on the goal by olivier in the 1st period that had me already pissed at his effort. i've always liked coyle.

I don't really care who they name the interim. I don't think it'll matter in anyway. They'll respond to a new voice or they won't. They're not going to revamp their systems in late November with an internal promotion.

But it's pretty telling, in a league that always recycles coaches, that Sacco hasn't come close to another head coaching gig in more than a decade.

Chiarelli got only 9 seasons here before he was fired and that guy actually won a Cup! We're in year 10 of Sweeney with nothing to show for it but a single Cup run that ended with Karson f***ing Kuhlman in the top 6. I have so little faith in ownership holding management accountable, but these guys need to be shown the door.

Sweeney won't be let go until Cam is on the hot seat and need to try and save his own ass.

No thanks on Sacco

Sweeney is a piece of work. Yikes

It won’t be his fault. He just heard from a source.

Would not put it past Neely to take a page from the Larry Lucchino playbook from when he fired Tito and leaked to the media he was on pills

Hey, he's a local guy and has probably had many beers with Donny and Cam...

They need a complete new team behind the bench, the entire strcuture is bad, the PP never looked so bad, the Pk never looked so shitty, the defense suddenly is so pathetic...and the Sway! Ouf my god at least we ve got the 2025 first pick, not against a Hagens or Martone plan...

Is Sacco really a "new voice" though? He's been an assistant coach with the Bruins for 10 years now. When Cassidy was fired, why did the Bruins feel like Sacco was the right guy then?
I still believe Donny one of the best out there teams been competitive under his tenure and almost won the big one. 1 game away . Donny has the pulse on the team I feel let's see .

3 coaches in 9 years isn't unusual. The average coaching tenure in the NHL is 2.4 years according to The Athletic.

Unfortunately, NHL coaches are hired to be fired.

I think Sweeney's vision for the team isn't 100% the same as Neely's. I think Neely want's "big bad bruins" like he was and Sweeney want's to build a more skilled team that doesn't need to be physical to shut you down.

3-2 FLA going into period 3 game 6

2-1 FLA going into period 3 Game 7

How about some fault to the GM for not adequately replacing Hall, Bertuzzi, Orlov, Bergeron, Krejci and DeBrusk?
Dude, they were up 3-1 and he totally made bad decisions.
