Anyone know where this data can be found?

Someone must be scraping this stuff off NHL.com.

Poorly recorded. Pacioretty apparently has 8 shots off the posts and 1 off the crossbar. I'd wager it's closer to 20 and 5

And Draisaitl has 13 off-the-post... that's a tad low. He gets one every third game or less.

it is

go under miscellaneous...... then last two columns

thanks

those numbers look off or there is a typo

if you hover your mouse over the MsS Post or MsS Cross columns, it says "Missed Shots Hit Post (since 2009-10)" or
"Missed Shots Hit Crossbar (since 2009-10)"

Pettersson has hit a ton this year.

"since 2009-10" means that the stat has been collected since the 2009-10 season.

Why do the numbers seem off to you? They seem alright to me.

How can you screw up this stat? Either the puck hits the post/x-bar or it doesn't, and you know what player attempted the shot.

Maybe they record them by sound?

Tipped shots are also probably one reason.

-If you tip it wide, you don't get a shot attempt
-if you tip it & goalie makes a save, you don't get a shot on goal
-if you tip it & it goes in, you get a shot and a goal

So maybe if you tip it to the cross bar, you don't get a shot?

As far as I know tipped shot attempts are recorded for the tipper. Qualified as "Deflection".

I used to display it, but I took it off.
The current standings:
Draisaitl 14
E. Petterson 13
Matthews 13
McDavid 11
Laine 11
Makar 11
Hoffman 10
Vrana 10
4 players with 9

Pastrnak has 8, Ovechkin has 3.

Last season it was Laine 16, McDavid and Seguin 15, Kucherov 14.

Your stats seem much more accurate than NHL.com. According to them, McDavid only has 5 posts.

Huh?
My list is total irons (post+crossbar). McDavid has 5+5 on the official site.

And sometimes NHL changes the attributions:
* changes player shooting the puck
* changes the miss type
* changes the event type (i.e. converts shot to miss and back)
post-factum which I currently don't rescrape.

I think you misunderstood. It was actually a compliment, because I thought McDavid had more posts than NHL.com listed. I prefer your list.

Yeah these stats must be horribly under recorded. I looked up Huselius' stats since his nickname could very well have been "ping" during his time with the Jackets, and he has a total of 6 posts and 1 crossbar from 2009-2012. No way.
